Athens

We leave the ship and transfer to a room in Athens for a few days.

Steve was sick and feeling poorly, when we got on the bus at the cruise port, he put the camera bag on the rack above in the bus and forgot it when he got off the bus. We hadn’t left the bus area when someone yelled out “whose camera is this?” and he went back to claim it.

We got dropped off near the Temple of Olympian Zeus and had a long walk to our hotel three blocks north of the cathedral with our luggage and Steve not feeling well.

You can see the Parthanon on the Acropolis from our drop-off point.

We walked back and saw the Acropolis Museum. One of the original Caryatids from the Erechtheion which is next to the Acropolis.

There were many fragments of relief carvings.

We passed the Tower of Winds on the way back.

We had to stop to rest on our way back. Donna found a cat to sit next to.
