Cefalù

Today we started at 9 am with a bus ride to Cefalù, a beautiful town on the coast. There was road construction on the way that delayed us.

The bus has to drop us off on the outskirts as it can’t get close to the center of town because of the small streets. We got to walk along the coast for a while.

Then we walked through the narrow streets down to the beach and square with the Cathedral.

We saw some pistachio candies one the walk.

The inside was under renovation, but the mosaics above the altar were visible.

There was enough time to take a 20 minute swim before lunch. It was possible to change out of your wet swimsuit at the restaurant before lunch.

There was a little more time to look around and go shopping before we headed back to the bus.

We stopped briefly on the way back at an overlook to get a photo of Cefalù.

We broke the bus ride back up with a stop to learn how to make Cannoli.
