Stephenplaz

We arrived in Vienna in the early afternoon and took the bus to Schwedenplatz and walked to our hotel.

After getting checked in, we walked to Stephenplaz. We passed through Lugeck Square and saw the Johannes Gutenberg Monument.

In the center of Stephenplaz is St. Stephen’s Cathedral.

Peter Baldinger had a temporary art installation in the sanctuary called “Sky of Stones”.

On the shady side of the cathedral, the horse and buggies gather. The line of carriages for tours is a little ways away, they were caring for the horses and cleaning up here.

There was also a merry-go-round out in Stephensplaz.

Since this is our first day here, we have to deal with the time change, we made it to 8:00 pm, then slept for a bit, woke up at 9:15 pm and went to bed at 10pm.
