Donna wanted to go to Coral World Ocean Park. We booked a shore excursion from the ship which included transportation and the entrance fee.

We received notification from the ship that the underwater observatory would be closed for maintenance the day we visited and we could cancel, but we decided to go. There is a beach that is part of the park as well, but given that it was windy again and there wasn’t lots of time, we elected to not bring our swim/snorkel gear.

The transportation over and back was a truck with seats in the back. It holds close to 30 people.

Coral World is a wildlife rehabilitation center. They have a few parrots that they are rehabilitating.

There was a 20-minute Shark presentation at 10 am. They have Lemon sharks and nurse sharks. They are able to release them back into the wild when the sharks are larger.

At the Dolphin show, two trainers and trainer assistants got in the water to work with the dolphins.

A pelican showed up for the tarpon feeding, looking to grab some leftovers.

The tarpon feeding was at on the walkway to the underwater observatory, and you could look out over the straight between the island and Thatch and Grass Cays. We were told that sometimes you can see whales here.

The Sea Lion show features South American Sea Lions, not the typical California Sea Lions. There are only three facilities in the US that have South American Sea Lions.

While waiting a few minutes for our bus to arrive, I went to look at the Coki Point beach. I’m not sure how the snorkeling was there. It was protected from the wind.
