Today we got to breakfast at 7:30 am again for an 8:30 am departure by bus to the old Roman town of Uthina. It is known for its mosaics. Many of the nice mosaics have been moved to the Bardo Museum.

We spent a few days visiting my sister and her family before our trip. The twins and my sister have birthdays right at the beginning of the trip, so we celebrated a few days early.

Today is a mostly free day for us. We didn’t book a tour today.

Today we have a snorkeling trip out to the Belize Barrier Reef and the Hol Chan Marine Reserve along it.

We travel to the island of Caye Caulker via a small plane with a stop to circle the Great Blue Hole.

We walked through downtown San Ignacio to a park by the river to look for birds in the morning.

Today our group splits up to go on optional tours. There is a big group going to Tikal in Guatamala. We chose to go to a less visited site called Caracol with another couple.

We travel to the town of San Ignacio in western Belize today.
