The mistral was still blowing lightly. The forecast suggested that the wind was going to fade and the rain starting around 9-10 am. It was going to rain most of the next week.

The mistral was blowing again, not as much as yesterday. We will be able to ride.

The ride to Pont du Gard is canceled due to high winds, gusting to 50 mph. Too dangerous to ride across the bridge across the Rhône River with those side winds. Pont du Gard is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Mistral was blowing and will be blowing for the rest of our bike tour. Winds will be about 25 mph in the morning, 35 mph in the afternoon from the north today.

Today is the first day of our bike trip. We need to meet the Trek Travel bus at the Avignon train station at 11 am.

This is the last day of our first tour. Tomorrow, we would normally fly home, but we’ll continue on with a bike tour.

This morning we take the TGV train to Paris, then a stop at the Eiffel Tower and a boat tour on the Seinne river which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Today we tour Lyon. The older parts of Lyon are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

There was a navigation problem on the bridge, so we couldn’t sail overnight to Lyon. So we tied up near dusk, and will arrive in Lyon around 4 pm this afternoon.

Today we visit Viviers, a quaint, small medieval town on the riverside hills. It’s only 3600 people.
