We visited Belize in 2023, but didn’t spend any time in Belize City. The ship has to stay outside the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, so the tender ride to the dock takes 40 minutes.

The Cayman Islands are small, only 69,000 people across three islands. It is a tender port, but the ship uses local tenders that are bigger than the ship’s tenders, so it goes pretty fast. Our tour group is split across two small buses, but we tour as a group with the two driver/guides, Carl and Ashton, each talking about their specialties.

Half Moon Cay is Holland America’s private island in the Bahamas. We have visited the island before on our cruise up the Amazon River and in 2019 on a cruise through the Pananama Canal.

We fly to Ft. Lauderdale to get on our cruise ship. We’ve visited Ft. Lauderdale before when we went on a cruise to the Amazon River. We flew in two days before the cruise left to make sure our luggage arrived safely before we got on the ship.

The Territorial Capital Museum in Lecompton, KS has more than 100 Christmas trees with antique ornaments called Christmas Through the Ages. We went to see them this afternoon.

We are visiting Donna’s brother and sister-in-law. They invited us to see the 34th annual Holiday Brass concert, a fundraiser for the International Women’s Brass Conference.

Bags out at 6 am, then breakfast at 6:30 am. We were in the last group to leave at 8am since were just walking over to the ferry to Mo’orea.
