This morning we leave Nice, France and travel by bus to Arles, with a short stop at the Rhône American cemetery in Draguignan, France.

Today was the official start of our tour. We had a walking tour of the old Nice town area in the morning, then free time in the afternoon.

The first stop on our tour is Nice, France which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Dry Tortugas National Park is 70 miles west of Key West. The park includes the waters around Fort Jefferson. We got lucky, and the waves and westerly wind were not bad. I was able to stand on the front of the boat for much of the trip, looking for wildlife.

We visited John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park to take the boat and snorkel tour.

After our day on the water at Biscayne Bay, we returned to Everglades National Park for two days, exploring the eastern portion of the park. Everglades National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Biscayne National Park is a mostly marine park south of Miami.

We drove from Everglades City, FL on the western side of Everglades National Park on 41 through Big Cypress National Preserve and Everglades National Park over to the east side of the park in Homestead, FL. Everglades National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We drove to Everglades City, FL on the western side of Everglades National Park which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Andersonville, GA is the site of a confederate prison in the Civil war. It now includes the National Prisoner of War Museum. It was misty and foggy the day we visited.
